1862 The Civil War Starts. Thomas (Tom) Jefferson Coonrod is born.

1865 Ida Irene Clark was born in Carlinville Il. Sept 20

1865 The Civil War Ends

1866 Toms Dad Madison (Matt) Lee Coonrod died. Buried in Oakwood Cemetary.
Tom was 4 years old.

Between 1866 to 1878 Toms Mother Margaret E. marries Mr Finley. 
They have several children:

Jessie Anne Finley

1872 Toms Grandfather Stephan Coonrod Died. 
Tom was 10 years old.

1879 Tom's Grandmother Candis Died
Tom was 17 years old

1879 Toms Mother Margaret E. Coonrod Finley died.

1879 Tom and his sister and half sister and his half brother are 
made wards of Mrs. M. Summers in Cherokee Co Kansas.

1880s Cowboys and cattle drives, the Chisum Trail
Tom is 19years old and lives in Kansas

1883 Sept 6th 1883 Tom's father Matt's estate is settled.

1884 Tom married Ida Irene Clark in Illinois.
Tom is 22 years old

1884 Tom moved to Wichata Kansas and had the following children:

1894 Moved to Clinton Missouri and had a farm 2.5 miles from Piper

1898 The Spanish-American War Starts

1900 Toms brother Jefferson Died and left him $1253.00
Tom puts three of his sons through college.

1905 The Greenfield Argus 6/30/1905: Thomas Coonrod and wife, who 
reside near Clinton, Mo. have been spending the week among 
relatives and friends in this city and vicinity. Mr. Coonrod 
is a son of the late Matt Coonrod and lived just north of this 
city many years ago. He left here some thirty years ago, and 
it has been twenty two years since he has made his old home a 
visit. He is farming in Henry county and is the father of seven 
children.

1917 World War One starts
Tom is 55 years old

1932 The Great Depression Starts

1932 Toms wife, Ida Irene Clark died of a heart-attack and was buried
in Hopewell Cemetary in Clinton Mo. She had three brothers and
a sister in other states.

1944 World War Two 

1949 Tom attended Kenneth Lee Coonrod and Sally J. Potter's Wedding.

In his Senior years Tom moved around and lived with his kids families.
He was a kind person and everybody liked him.

1953 Tom died at age 91 and was buried next to Ida Irene in Hopewell
Cemetary in Clinton Mo.
